A sprawling romance, typical of the end of Shakespeare’s career, The Winter’s Tale takes place in two kingdoms: the cold and austere Sicilia ruled by the jealous King Leontes, and the lush Bohemia where Sheep shearing festivals and joyful dancing govern.
